Glamuroznim stilom MEGAN MARKL odala počast Kanadi (FOTO)

The Duke & Duchess spent the day in Blackpool today, where they carried out several engagements involving investment and regeneration projects overseen by the Blackpool Council. They began their day at the iconic Blackpool Tower, a popular British landmark housing various attractions such as a circus, a glass viewing platform, and the Tower Ballroom. There, The Duke & Duchess joined a roundtable discussion about the town’s history, the challenges and the regeneration efforts that are underway. The seaside resort town is currently undergoing a regeneration which is expected to boost its tourism industry, doubling its visitor numbers. The couple then visited Comedy Carpet, a huge artwork along the seafront featuring the jokes of more than 1000 British comedians, where they met with members of the public. An embargoed event then took place where the couple were shown the extent of the housing problems that currently exist in Blackpool and what is being done to try fix it. It was then onto the Blackpool Central Library where William and Kate attended two separate discussions focusing on issues and initiatives of relevance to each of their charitable initiatives; William met people affected by mental health issues, while Kate sat down with representatives from 'A Better Start' programme, which works with families on the development of young children. The couple’s final engagement of the day was a visit to Blackpool Revoe Park, which has been transformed from an area of depreciation with drug use into a new playground and a garden where adults and children can learn to grow plants and vegetables. The scheme is a partnership between the council and A Better Start, the organisation Kate met with earlier on today.
